US to send relief and aid to Afghanistan

The United States has taken new steps to send food, relief and financial aid to war-torn Afghanistan to avert a growing food crisis and humanitarian catastrophe. The US Treasury Department has recently decided to introduce two general licenses.
Under the first license, U.S. governments, NGOs, and international organizations affiliated with the United States will be able to make money transactions with the ruling Taliban government in Afghanistan or their allied Haqqani network. That is, if the United States government or any organization affiliated with the country wants to establish financial links with the Taliban or the Haqqani network, the government or the organization must obtain that license.
The second license has been introduced to send food, medicine and other humanitarian aid materials to the country. The Treasury Department said in a statement that the rules would apply to the United States government or all non-governmental organizations affiliated with the country. “The United States is committed to providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.” The outlawed Taliban group seized control of the Afghan capital, Kabul, on August 15. They have also formed a new government in the country; The cabinet of that government is all male.
