Sri Lanka recalls Pakistan’s assistance during the crisis of the civil war.

Colonel Sajjad Ali, the outgoing defense adviser to the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo, on Friday called on Chiefs of Defense Staff and Army Commander Lt. Col. Go to meet courtesy of General Shavendra Silver.

He recalled the days of his stay in Sri Lanka and the beautiful and friendly relations that existed between the two countries’ military establishments.

Lt. General Silva recalled the support given by the Pakistan Army to the critical phase of the humanitarian operation in Wanni before May 2009.

He thanked Pakistan for providing training and other material assistance to members of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces and for being a true neighbor of the region.
