Social media Twitter could ban current US President Donald Trump. An announcement that could come shortly after leaving the White House. A Twitter spokesman told Forbes Magazine.
Trump has been spreading TRUE claims about the ongoing coronavirus epidemic on Twitter and TRUE claims about the election. That’s why Twitter is forced to verify and label certain tweets with caution.
No action has been taken against Trump so far as it is part of Twitter’s World Leaderpolicy. Heads of state, such as presidents, prime ministers, and other rulers, usually fall under the World Leader policy. Those who have enough news-value among them break some of the rules of Twitter but no action is taken.
The Twitter spokesman told Forbes that Trump would no longer be subject to the World Leader Policy after January 20. He has to follow the rules of Twitter just like ordinary citizens. If Trump does not follow those rules after leaving the White House, he will be given all the severe punishments. He may then be banned at some point.
