Tensions are running high over the border dispute between India and China on the Ladakh border. In order to establish dominance, both sides have deployed extra troops on the border.
Beijing has strongly protested the banning of 116 Chinese apps in the name of India’s security. At the same time, the Xi Jinping government has once again warned the United States not to shy away from the Indo-China conflict. However, New Delhi has called for resolving the border dispute through talks.
India and China are trying to establish dominance on the border. Due to the dispute on the Ladakh border, the two countries have deployed extra troops including tanks and armored vehicles. They are face to face. Amid the ongoing upheaval, Indian Army Chief General MM Naravan visited the eastern Chusul sector of Ladakh. He also promised to settle the border dispute through talks.
India-China conflict has escalated since 20 Chinese soldiers were killed in a Chinese airstrike in Galwan last June. Tensions escalated this week after clashes between the two countries over dominance in Ladakh and the killing of an Indian security official on the Sikkim border.
On the one hand, Indian forces have strongly opposed any illegal move by China on the border, and on the other hand, New Delhi has called on Beijing to maintain peace and stability through negotiations.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said, “We are committed to resolving all issues through peaceful talks.” Therefore, our call to China is to abide by the bilateral agreement and stop all kinds of provocative activities from the border areas.
Meanwhile, China has strongly protested the banning of 116 Chinese apps, citing India’s sovereignty and security. The country claims that through this, India has disrespected the idea of national security. At the same time, it is alleged that India has violated WTO rules by discriminating against Chinese entrepreneurs.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said the ban on Chinese apps had first and foremost harmed the rights and interests of Indians. At the same time, the rights of Chinese entrepreneurs have been curtailed. This decision of India will not benefit any party but will cause more loss.
On the same day, China warned the United States not to sneer at the Indo-China conflict. Beijing also noted that India and China were sufficient to resolve the ongoing crisis through bilateral talks.
